Cleanfest is founded and led by Nozipho Tshakane, a qualified Microbiologist holding a  Master’s degree in Medical Microbiology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), with extensive experience as a hygiene auditor within the food manufacturing sector. Her background in Microbiology, the study of bacteria, mould, and other harmful organisms forms the foundation of Cleanfest’s product development, training, and quality standards.

Through years of auditing facilities, assessing sanitation procedures, and verifying compliance with food safety regulations, Nozipho has witnessed first-hand the serious risks posed by poor hygiene practices. Contaminated equipment and ineffective detergents can compromise products, the company’s reputation, and most importantly, endanger lives leading to respiratory illnesses, allergies, and chronic health conditions for the people who live and work within those spaces. Cleanfest exists to eliminate these risks.

We manufacture high-performance cleaning and disinfection products specifically formulated to eradicate mould, bacteria, and other pathogens while meeting stringent industry and regulatory standards. Beyond supplying chemicals, we partner with our clients by providing complementary cleaning services at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and preventative strategies.
